EDITOR'S PICKS

EDITOR'S LETTER

Currently, of note.

The season has shifted, and our rituals tend to move with it; sometimes before we even notice.

Skin may be asking for lighter layers and daily protection as brighter days return. Hair might need a little attention after the drier months. And sometimes the smallest change; a fresher texture, a different treatment or something that simply feels right for the season ahead; is enough to breathe new life into a familiar ritual.

So this edition is less about starting again and more about noticing what feels right now.

What can become lighter. What might need a little attention. And what deserves a place in the brighter days ahead.

A few practical choices. A little renewal. Something unexpected.

No complete routine required.

Just a few good places to look.

NEW LIGHT

For skin ready to find its brightness again.

Spring is a useful reminder that a ritual doesn’t need to stay exactly as it was.

The richer layers of winter begin to make way for something lighter; but this is also a good time to look beyond texture and consider what you actually want from your skincare next.

Perhaps more clarity. A smoother feel. A little more brightness.

Not an overhaul. Just one well-placed change.

Editor's Note

Introduce one active change at a time; give skin the space to respond before deciding what else your ritual needs.

BEYOND THE FACE

Skin doesn’t stop at the neckline.

Skincare tends to get very specific above the shoulders, while everything below is often expected to make do with whatever is nearby.

As heavier layers start to disappear, it’s a good time to give the rest of the skin the same attention; something nourishing enough to make a difference, but pleasurable enough that using it never feels like another task.

A body oil makes a particularly good case for the shift. Massage it into slightly damp skin after bathing, then give it a moment to settle before getting dressed.

EDITOR’S NOTE

Apply while skin is still slightly damp; a little goes further, and the ritual feels considerably more luxurious.

THE BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD

Some things aren’t seasonal.

The days begin to change long before the wardrobe does.

Daily SPF remains one of the simplest ways to protect everything the rest of your skincare is working towards; whether the forecast says winter, spring or something unexpectedly in between.

Editor's Note

SPF, before summer reminds you.

A CHANGE IN THE AIR

A new season calls for a new scent.

Fragrance has a particular way of marking time. One scent becomes inseparable from a place, an evening, or an ordinary day that somehow stayed with you.

Spring is a good time to find the next one; not because the old favourites have lost their place, but because something different can change the way a familiar ritual feels.

And sometimes, that is reason enough to wear it.

Editor's Note

Don’t save fragrance for somewhere to go. Wear it on an ordinary day and let the memory find you later.
