We are drawn to beautiful formulations and thoughtful makers; to familiar names doing something exceptionally well and lesser-known ones that make us wonder why more people aren't talking about them. To products with substance behind the packaging and a reason to remain long after the excitement of discovering something new has passed.

But beauty, to us, has never been only about products.
